ynvisible has been awarded a grant from the European Commission, within the context of its Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program, and more specifically within the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) action. The grant will fund the “INFUSION” project (Engineering optoelectronic INterfaces: a global action intersecting FUndamental conceptS and technology implementatION of self-organized organic materials), through which, using a network of 6 universities, 1 research institute and 3 companies, including ynvisible, representing 6 different countries, dozens of researchers and highly qualified staff members will have the opportunity to advance their know-how and expertise, and promote knowledge transfer among the different partners, in the field of organic chemistry, photochemistry, surface science, polymer and materials science, and device engineering. The project aims to create a strongly interdisciplinary and inter-sectorial environment in which the principles of self-organization are poured from academia into the private sector and vice-versa, to create new paradigms to engineer electrochromic devices. The overall available budget for the project is over 1 m€. INFUSION starts in January 2017 and will be carried out over a period of 4 years. More information on INFUSION will be made publicly available in the next few months.
